Scholarship Information

The Maria L. Tejada Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to students who are granted a non-paid internship with the Cook County Juvenile Probation Department based on demonstrated academic achievement and financial need. 
 
The student eligible for assistance must be currently enrolled in a four-year college or university and reside in City of Chicago. Consideration will be given to academic achievement, financial need and the student community service record.  Students should submit a scholarship application provided by the Loving Lily Forever website.  
 
Scholarships will be awarded on a semi-annual basis and disbursed in equal payments in April and November.  Students must continue to attend classes and maintain no lower than a 3.0 grade-point average (or equivalent).
Each scholarship awarded will be a one-time $1,000 installment.
The application deadline is {TBD}.  The deadline is the date after which applications will no longer be accepted.  The Maria L. Tejada Scholarship Fund uses the postmarked date to determine mailed entries.
 
The scholarship is not renewable. Previous scholarship recipients cannot re-apply.
